"Sisters and Sequins began with a spark... and a sequin or two"
Katie Arscott
A year ago, I found myself feeling a bit lost in the blur of roles I play: mum, wife, businesswoman, friend, daughter. I was craving something just for me—something fun, meaningful, and full of connection. So I put on a pair of sparkly trousers, booked a table, and invited some women out for a night that had nothing to do with school runs, deadlines, or laundry. One person came that night (just one!)—but it lit a fire in me.
Since then, over 350 women have joined me for Ladies' Nights Out, paint parties, lunches and creative networking events. What started as a way to feel a little less alone has grown into something truly special—a vibrant community for women who want more than small talk. Women who want to connect, grow, and feel like themselves again.
The name Sisters and Sequins came from that very first night out—it's about sisterhood, sparkle, and celebrating ourselves exactly as we are.

Your Tribe
Women thrive when we come together. It's as simple and as powerful as that.
When we're surrounded by people who truly see us, cheer us on, and remind us who we are—it changes everything. We feel braver, calmer, more confident. That kind of support doesn't just feel good—it's good for you. Studies show that strong female friendships and social connections can boost your mood, reduce stress, improve mental health, increase resilience, and even extend your life.
That's why Sisters and Sequins exists. This isn't just a calendar of events—it's a space where real friendships are formed, ideas are sparked, businesses are born, and women remember how much they matter.
As a qualified yoga teacher, coach, and someone who's spent decades exploring wellbeing and nutrition (while navigating menopause and ADHD myself), I bring all that wisdom and lived experience into everything I offer. Whether it's a paint party or a powerful conversation over lunch, I'm here to hold space for women to show up, speak up, and shine.

The Sequin Spotlight

Becoming the woman you imagined
Sometimes, the woman we imagine we should be feels impossibly far away. She is bold. She is confident. She is radiant. She balances creativity and career, self-care and connection, ambition and joy — effortlessly. And if we’re honest, that image can feel almost unreachable. We see it in other women. In the highlight reels of social media. In memories of ourselves at a younger age when we were full of ideas and energy. And we wonder: why am I not there yet?

Your story is enough
There is a persistent cultural whisper in midlife: you should have it all figured out. You should have achievements that are visible, a career that’s polished, wisdom that’s undeniable, and a story that is complete. If you don’t, a small voice reminds you: you’re behind, you’ve taken too long, you should have arrived by now.

Choosing courage over comfort
Comfort is seductive. It whispers to us in the quiet moments: stay safe, stay predictable, stay where it’s familiar. It promises security and shields us from discomfort, uncertainty, and embarrassment. And there is a reason we listen — comfort feels easy, soothing, protective.
